About the role
EV Battery Technician – Battery Diagnostics, BMS, Cell-Level Repair & Battery Health. The technician will be responsible for systematic diagnosis and repair of lithium-ion EV battery packs, including cell-level voltage analysis, internal resistance testing, voltage-sag analysis, temperature monitoring, BMS diagnostics, cell balancing, cell replacement and pack-level inspection. The role requires strong understanding of battery electrical architecture, series/parallel configurations, BMS operation, battery safety and diagnostic measurements. The technician will identify battery failure patterns, determine whether a pack is repairable or economically non-repairable, perform controlled repair activities and document battery health and repair outcomes through EVXpertz diagnostic processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform battery pack inspection and safe opening procedures
- conduct individual cell voltage and voltage-deviation analysis
- measure internal resistance and voltage sag
- perform temperature and thermal-difference checks
- diagnose BMS faults and communication issues
- perform cell balancing
- replace defective cells/modules where technically viable
- inspect busbars, nickel strips, terminals, connectors and sensing wires
- diagnose battery wiring and protection systems
- assess SOH and overall battery condition
- identify repairable versus non-repairable battery packs
- perform pack reassembly and validation testing
- conduct controlled charging and discharge tests
- maintain detailed battery diagnostic records
- follow EVXpertz battery safety SOPs and quality standards
